STUDIO & PROCESS

Preethi works from a private Texas-based studio where extended periods of focus allow for deep engagement with the canvas. Her studio practice supports experimentation, scale, and a layered approach to abstraction.
Her process is intuitive and immersive. Working primarily with professional-grade acrylics and oils, she builds each painting over multiple days using palette knives, brushes, paper, and occasionally her hands. Layers, tonal variation, and texture are central to her work, creating surfaces that shift subtly with light and movement.

Music plays a significant role in her studio rhythm, guiding emotional pacing and flow while painting. Rather than following predetermined compositions, each work evolves organically through response and adjustment.

Preethi’s practice has naturally expanded toward large-scale works designed to interact with architectural space. Her paintings are created with interiors in mind — offering presence, balance, and visual depth within modern living and working environments.

Each completed work reflects a balance between spontaneity and control, resulting in paintings that feel both expressive and composed.
